The Navajo Tribe were great weavers. They believed that the spirit, Spider Woman gave them the gift of weaving. They grew cotton plants and used the wool of a sheep for their weaving. They learned to spin cotton and the wool into yarn. They used natural resources such as berries, flowers, and plants as dye. They would put the yarn on a wodden loom and then weave their designs for clothing, blankets, rugs, and many other things.
